TeaFountain Wellness Tea | TeaFountain ‘Health & Harmony’TM Series | This healthy Lapacho Tea from the Andes contains iron, calcium, potassium, copper, manganese and magnesium.
The Lapacho bark is the finely cut inner bark from the Lapacho Tecome tree growing in forests at high elevations in the Andes. It has a delicate, fresh fragrance. The infusion is mild-tasting with a slightly sharp after-note.
Lapacho Tea can be drunk either warm or cold and does not turn bitter, even if allowed to infuse for longer.
To sweeten consider Rock Candy Crystals or our popular Oregon Tea Honeys # 88005.

Ingredients: Finely cut Lapacho Tecome bark.
Suggested Water Temperature: 212 F – Suggested Infusion Time: 8 Minutes.
Preparation: Bring fresh water to the boil. Warm up your tea pot by rinsing it with hot water. Fill one teaspoon per 6 oz cup of this Herbal Tisane into the preheated tea pot or preferred cup. Pour the hot water into the tea. Let infuse up to 8 Minutes and serve. Remove infuser or pour your tea into another tea-pot or thermos carafe. Using an infuser or ‘Permanent Tea Filter’ for your cup or pot makes it easy to separate the bark from the beverage after steeping.
Culinary notes: Because of its mild-nutty character this Herbal Tisane is offered as a choice with light foods, vegetarian or vegetable recipes and special desserts including fruits and lighter French cheese selections. Superb Iced Tea selection.
This is one of the infusions (tisanes) in our HEALTH & HARMONY™ Tea Series that we are introducing on our website.
