These White Rock Candy Filberts are the product of the further refining by recrystallization of pure, white cane sugar.
Use these larger crystals (ca. 1/4" rocks) as your perfect sweetener for tea and other hot or cold beverages. Try also in your cocktails, desserts, and cake frostings. Rock Candy Crystals are sweeter, cleaner and smoother then regular sugar. It soothes sore throats and is a pure nutritious confection. Presented in attractive clear Gift Packaging.
Did you know ?...Sugar is being refined for over 2000 years. Shakespeare in Henry IV [1596] recognized the therapeutic value of 'Sugre Candie'. Because of the health benefits Rock Candy Crystals were used only as medicine until ca. 1750.
How Rock Candy is made: Hot, saturated pure cane sugar crystallizes on a web of strings in large tanks over a 7 day cooling period. The same process is used to crystallize Rock Candy on sticks. The harvest from the sides and bottom of the tanks become the loose crystals.
